Surveys and soundings: Fleetwood

Hydrographic surveys and buoy checks for the Port of Fleetwood. Fleetwood Local Notice to Mariners 010 of 2024 directs mariners to these surveys.

A survey is a snapshot

Depths and positions shown were correct at the date of survey. Conditions in a tidal harbour change. A survey does not supersede official charts or ADMIRALTY Notices to Mariners, and it does not relieve the master of the duty to navigate with proper care.

Surveys held

These surveys are held by the authority and are being republished under its own name. Until they are, ask the harbour office for the latest soundings before you plan a passage.

Update coming

Survey drawings rehosted and LNtM 010 of 2024 reissued. This is being confirmed and will be published here.

Published depths

Channel depths are not published as figures. They come from the hydrographic surveys above, which are drawings rather than a published depth table. Berth depths are in the ship acceptance table on the port information page.

Buoy 24 caution

Buoy No 24, whilst in its assigned position as charted on official UKHO navigational charts, now lies to the northern edge of the deep water channel. Mariners are advised to navigate the area with caution and make suitable adjustment to their passage plans. This caution is published in Fleetwood Local Notice to Mariners 010 of 2024.
