Reporting an incident or near miss

In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. For anything that has already happened, tell the harbour office.

If it is happening now

Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Or call the Coastguard on VHF Channel 16. Then tell the harbour office. For anything on the water inside the harbour, call the harbour office on VHF Channel 12: Fleetwood Dock at Fleetwood, or Silloth Harbour Radio at Silloth, which is manned from 2.5 hours before high water.

Do not report an emergency by email or through this website.

If it has already happened

Tell the harbour office. See the Fleetwood contact page or the Silloth contact page.

Near misses matter as much as incidents. If something nearly went wrong, the harbour master would rather hear about it than not.
